Raised in Southfield, Michigan, and later finding home in Detroit, Teron is an independent artist whose music lives at the intersection of alternative R&B, pop, and soul. His work is shaped by evolution—of sound, identity, relationships, and the person he is becoming.

Growing up just outside Detroit and eventually moving into the city gave Teron a relationship with the culture that extends far beyond music. Detroit’s fashion, nightlife, creativity, resilience, individuality, and deep musical history have continually influenced the way he approaches his own artistry. Rather than trying to recreate one particular Detroit sound, Teron draws from the freedom and fearlessness embedded in the city’s creative culture, using it as inspiration to build a world that feels distinctly his own.

That world isn't confined to a single genre. Teron moves between alternative R&B, pop, soul, and more experimental textures, allowing each record to become whatever the story requires. At the center of it all is his voice and an instinct for vulnerability. His writing explores love, uncertainty, growth, intimacy, confidence, letting go, and the complicated space between who you were and who you're becoming.

For Teron, the visual world surrounding the music is just as intentional. Fashion, photography, performance, design, and storytelling all become extensions of the records themselves. Each release is an opportunity to create an atmosphere—not simply a collection of songs.

That philosophy sits at the center of his latest project, Before I Go. The EP captures a period of transition without pretending that growth is clean or linear. Across the project, Teron reflects on the people, emotions, and versions of himself that have shaped him while confronting what deserves to be carried forward and what needs to be left behind. Rather than functioning as a goodbye, Before I Go documents movement: the moment between recognizing change and fully stepping into it.

As an independent artist, Teron is also building beyond individual releases. From live performance and visual storytelling to collaborations with Detroit musicians, producers, designers, and other creatives, his goal is to create an artistic universe where music, fashion, community, and culture can exist together.

Detroit remains part of the foundation, but the vision reaches beyond it.

Teron isn't interested in being defined by one sound, one image, or one version of himself. The point is evolution.
